An overview

Located approximately 25 km southeast of Mont-Laurier, in the Laurentians region. The property comprises 33 mining claims and benefits from excellent access.

The project covers a favorable geological area composed of paragneiss and quartzites, with several graphite occurrences identified.

Exploration work

A helicopter-borne geophysical survey totaling 175 km of lines was carried out on the property.

The work has made it possible to identify:

  • 229 electromagnetic anomalies (TDEM)
  • 33 conductive anomalies
  • Two main trends correlated with magnetic data, considered as priority targets

Some of these anomalies correspond to known surface indices, including:

  • Lake Meloche: up to 13.85% Cg
  • Lake Pimodan-NE: up to 10.13% Cg

Geological potential

The region is part of the Grenville Geological Province, known for the presence of graphite resulting from the transformation of ancient organic matter under the effect of pressure and temperature.

Geophysical anomalies (MAG and TDEM) indicate a favorable potential for the presence of graphite, particularly in paragneiss and quartzite settings.

Graphite index

Lac Meloche

  • Discovered in 1990
  • Mineralization in biotite and quartzite paragneisses
  • Graphite in visible flakes (1 to 3 mm)
  • Several surface samples > 10% Cg
  • Maximum content: 13.85% Cg
