Lomiko Metals
A PARTNER FOR THE STRATEGY OF CRITICAL MINERAL DEVELOPMENT IN QUEBEC
Our mission at Lomiko
Lomiko represents a company with one goal: a people-focused company where we can manifest a world
of abundant renewable energy with critical Canadian and Quebec minerals for a solution in North
America. Our goal is to create a new energy future in Canada where we will develop the critical minerals
workforce, become a valued partner and neighbour to the communities in which we operate, and
provide a safe and responsible supply of critical minerals. We support conversation, dialogue and
ongoing information sharing.
Our vision for the Laurentians region
A Plan Sud where Lomiko becomes an important member of the community. We coexist and contribute
as a partner of choice.
1. A centre of excellence for graphite: a Living museum and education center on climate change
and critical minerals. The factory and operations are educational opportunities and are visible to
local residents, tourists and students in an open concept with an on-site café.
2. La Loutre supports local agriculture and other businesses for a completely circular and locally
sourced operation.
3. The farm’s carbon footprint is reduced to zero or less.
4. Noise is minimized and site access points and operations are managed to allow residents to
enjoy the area in any season. We will minimize operations during the summer to preserve the
tourist season
5. Economic reconciliation for Kitigan Zibi are taken into account.
6. Our vision is to monitor, maintain and become active stewards of water quality in the region.
Graphite treatment generally has no impact on water quality, as it is one of the materials used to
purify water.
We agree that we all need to get involved in a conversation about sustainable development towards the
energy transition in Quebec.
Highlights:
1. Quebec has a plan for the development of critical minerals and a North American advantage in
graphite; without graphite we cannot develop an anode transformation center in Quebec
2. La Loutre graphite can put more than 300,000 electric cars on the roads, it’s a climate success
project (according to independent studies)
3. Lomiko wants to develop a responsible regional solution: La Loutre with six regional claims and
Carmin, a new claim acquisition announced on March 3, 2023, Lomiko is extremely well
positioned for a hub and spoke model.
4. Lomiko works with Quebec partners for a solution for Quebec and Canada: we announced
SOQUEM as shareholders
5. We will work with the Metal Transformation Research and Innovation Consortium (CRITM) to
complete the transformation of natural graphite and the characterization of spherical graphite
for battery applications. The Corporation also received financial support from the National
Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) and funding
from CRITM under the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts’ (MRNF) Quebec Plan
for the Development of Critical and Strategic Minerals.
Profile of La Loutre, Plan Sud du Québec
Lomiko Metals is an explorer and developer of natural flake graphite and lithium in Quebec. Our mission
is to be the first responsible operator of its choice to develop a strategic stock of critical minerals in
Quebec. We would like to advance a unique southern plan made in Quebec for the development of
natural flake graphite for North American climate success stories. Studies show that we need 7x to 8x
more graphite supply on the market by 2040 to meet graphite demand forecasts. The increase is
massive with demand growth of 30% to 40% per year. Lomiko aims to provide this supply with
responsible development and site planning. The flagship project, La Loutre, has an EEP with a mine life
of 15 years producing per year 100,000 tonnes of 95% Cg graphite concentrate, or a total of
approximately 1.5Mt of graphite concentrate. This can provide about 10% of the battery demand
currently underway in North America!
We believe in excellence. Climate success stories are achieved by Canadians and First Nations, where
communities directly benefit from our natural flake graphite project in southern Quebec.
