Based on the new regulations issued in Quebec, the following exploration plan notification has now been published for the investors and local community.
Section 65.1 of the Mining Act
65.1. The holder of an exclusive exploration right shall provide the representatives of any local municipality located in the area ofthe land that is subject to the right and, as the case may be, of any nation or Indigenous community concerned, at least 30 days before the start of exploration work and, thereafter, each year that the work continues, with an annual work plan, presented on the form provided by the Minister.
The holder shall hold an information session regarding the annual work plan with each representative who requests one. At such a session, the representative may make observations and present information supplementary to that presented by the holder.
The holder shall publish the annual work plan and, where applicable, a report of the information session on its website or by any other means of publication authorized by the Minister and communities to review.
