The 315-line-km survey flown over the 52-claim Tremblant (Lac de la maison de Pierre) project located 25 km southeast of Mont-Laurier identified 221 TDEM point anomalies with 31 having an intermediate conductive response. Eight linear TDEM trends show strong correlation with magnetic trends and are considered prospective targets for graphite-sulphide mineralization.
Discovery: Mineralized zone discovered in 2000 by geological mapping. History of work: In 2000, Ministry of Natural Resources – Geological cartography.
Lithology: The host rock is a paragneiss with garnet, biotite, graphite. The rock is migmatized, injected with white pegmatite dykes and contains metagabbro lenses 10 to 40 cm thick (RG 2001-12).
Mineralization: Grade: Paragneiss contains up to 15% graphite (RG 2001-12).
A total of 47 selected grab samples were collected on the Tremblant property in 2024. Widespread graphite mineralization was identified as numerous spot anomalies with values greater 1% Cg. Two of these spot anomalies returned 11.6% and 5.7% Cg, respectively. No distinct graphite trends or clusters were found on the Tremblant property. Refer to Figure 3 for details.
